The bran we made a few weeks has been successfully used to produce the bokashi bran. Our first bin is now very close to being ready for sealing for a while whilst we wait for it to ferment.
The brewing of Bokashi from the mother liquid we produced and black molasses has worked very well. And it's definitely a lot cheaper than trying to buy the liquids from commerical suppliers all the time. Successes? The barn has been washed down with Bokashi each time for the last few months, and has resulted in a much better environment in their. It never smelt bad as we did clean it properly, but the smell has now disappeared. And for the animals, the biggest difference has been on one of our cats, Jyrkï. He had what could only be described as a nuclear waste output - feeding him bokashi in his water has reduced the noxious output! |
